Happy Thanksgiving!
I just learned that Minnesota produces more Thanksgiving turkeys than any other state. We also have lots of wild turkeys roaming around, a phenomenon of which I wasn't all that aware until I moved into the suburbs. We often have a bunch of turkeys milling around on our lawn. I think they're kind of cute.
And now, I'm off to Wisconsin!

Darn! You just edged out my home state of North Carolina. In school they always taught us that NC's main exports were tobacco and turkeys. Minnesota, if you weren't so Scandinavian, I'd be angrier!
I think it's funny how this US Consensus Gov't page says "The preliminary estimate of turkeys Minnesota expects to raise in 2006." And this commercial page has copied their exact document, but change the date to read, "The preliminary estimate of turkeys Minnesota expects to raise in 2007." Hard to believe anything you see on the Interwebs.
