I love the point about people who look down on bloggers as being sad and self-absorbed, and generally think that time spent in front of a computer screen is isolating and not "real". Reminds me of something Laurie Anderson said (Yes, Jane, I know I keep quoting Laurie Anderson all the time. It's not deliberate, she just says cool stuff) during one of her performances: "People say that the Internet is making us antisocial. Yeah, like reading a book isn't a deeply antisocial thing to do..."
